Hearing Aid Cost & Payment Plans in Saskatoon
At Ex-Cell Hearing Centres in Saskatoon, we know that one of the primary concerns people have about getting hearing aids is the cost. Hearing aids can seem expensive, but we do everything we can to make it easier for our clients to find a solution that fits their budget.
Here is a quick guide to hearing aid prices and what programs we have to help make them easier to afford.
HOW MUCH DO HEARING AIDS COST?
Hearing aids have a very wide range of prices between models. The prices for specific hearing aids will depend on what level of technology, brand, and model that you wind up choosing.
We always advise our clients to come for a hearing test so we can determine the nature and severity of your hearing loss. Taking into account your hearing loss, your lifestyle and hearing needs, we will recommend options to suit your budget.
We also offer occasional specials and discounts on certain hearing aid models. There may also be programs that alleviate some financial pressure on you that we can assist you with. In addition to our free one week hearing aid demo and our 60 day return policy, we also offer payment plans.

Why We’re Different
Free Hearing Aid Trial
Maybe. As of July 2017, the government of Saskatchewan canceled the Hearing Aid Plan coverage. However, some individuals may be eligible for coverage under the Supplementary Health Benefits program, which can give some coverage to adults and children for hearing aids:
- Audiology services including hearing aids and certain supplies
- Most services covered by this program require approval from Ministry of Health ahead of time
- May pay for replacement hearing aids in the event yours are lost or broken, need to apply ahead of time
There is also the Family Health Benefits coverage specifically for children. If you have any questions about the eligibility for these programs we encourage you to call the program phone number at: 800-266-0695. We are happy to help clarify any issues you have when you are at an appointment with us, and we can help guide you to any resources or information you need.
DO YOU ACCEPT PRIVATE INSURANCE COVERAGE?
If you receive benefits through your job, it may include coverage for hearing aids. You can also purchase your own insurance coverage through a company like Blue Cross, or another provider.
There may also be various community and private groups that provide assistance to people who need hearing aids but cannot afford them. You can always reach out to the Saskatchewan Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services (SDHHS) for guidance. We will always pass on information to any organization or resource we know of that can help as well.
